the point is I got a visitor and he offered me $500.00 for it.I didnt say yes or no just that I wanted to get it scaned first.

Danny, this is a beautiful drawing.  And I understand completely how you feel about the pricing issue.  I was recently offered  $40.00 for a painting that I had spent 20 to 30 hrs. on.  Have you considered having prints made?  I don't know what it would cost per print, but it might be worth checking into. Think about-- " Hand Signed and Numbered  Limited Edition Prints ".

Economics 101  "Supply and Demand".  Good luck.

thanks Ronnie. I have thought about prints, that was the reason I didnt give an answer,I told him I wanted to get prints done first,Its $50 plus for a print this size, thats not the price of the scan, and that depends on time it takes.
"catch 22" you got to have money to make money. but thats what make life interesting.

Hi Danny,

I think you should only sell it for $500 if you are comfortable with that price... and/or if the money will come in handy enough to make it worth it. It sounds like you don't want to part with it for $500 and I don't blame you, especially considering all the time and work you've put into it.

Check out the art business group we have here, The Business Side of Selling Art, where there is a discussion on pricing art: http://community.art-is-fun.com/group/thebusinesssideofsellingart/f...

You might pick up some helpful tips or you can re-ask your question there for more advice.

Btw it's nice to see how you've done the whiskers, because I remember you asked about that in another thread. Glad the correction pen worked out for you!

thanks  at first I thought it was a good price, but I know It will get damaged at his place if he doesnt sell it on.

I used a pentel correction pen,it had a fine point metal tip, it was great.
