It's kind of creepy, like the parachute is falling into the grasp of a monster.

This feels like time travel.  The parachutists capsule has entered a time warp and returned to a bygone era, maybe a land of dinosaurs, maybe a land betwixt and between creatures and man, maybe a parallel universe.  To me it is filled with mystery and foreboding and adventure for the inhabitants aboard.

Neat ,neat. Thanks for the comments.

Aftermath............sad, desolate, despair.......

It really doesn't make me "feel" anything. Reason why? My eye does not know where to land. To many different objects to view and the colors just don't harmonize some how.     That being said, I do like it though!   Is this a computer painting?

Thanks you for your comment. :) I use acrylic paint over stretched canvas.

This is a nice abstract painting...   The aura of this painting is dark and evokes a feeling of emptiness when I look at it.

I sort of agree with some of the people that an emotion isn't pulled from the painting I think this is because of the lack a subject other than the landscape and a parachute. When I first looked at the picture the first thing that came to mind was is the person going to land in the trees or the volcano? That's all got.

Hi Jeremiah

This is a surrealist painting and because of that, it doesn't have to have rhyme or reason to it. Basically surrealism is "above reality" and quite often has to do with dreams which on the whole are realistic in form but quite illogical in reason.

To me the painting could be about depression. It is "dark" and "stark". However It is quite well done and I venture to say that you are probably familiar with the works of Dali and Magritte and other surrealist artists.

Every object offsets the other objects in this painting, including the colors you chose- if one object were to move , the others might seem to react , good or bad , doesn't matter - thats what I get - its a great theme and idea - BRAVO - and I love it !
