I really don’t know. Its just mine.
How long have you been an artist and how did you become an artist?
I have been drawing since the age of about 9yo. It wasn’t til I was about 20 that I started to use colour.
What is your favorite medium and why?
It depends what I am painting – acrylic for pet portraits, pencils for portraits and watercolour for landscapes and seascapes.
The piece I would choose is HOWARD CARTERS HOME (shown above). I did some rough sketches on site and then toured inside. It was a magical experience for me.
Seeing a picture coming together and it all falling into place.
If you could imagine the “perfect art day” for yourself, what would it be like?
Having someone like Sophia Loren posing for her portrait.
If you could spend 24 hours with one artist, living or historical, who would you want to spend the day with and why? What would the two of you do?
Michelangelo - we'd talk art and drink vino.
Practice, practice and more practice. Develop your own style and ignore the critics!
Anything else you'd like to mention that I didn't ask?
Always use the best materials you can afford – cheap stuff will not give you the desired effect and can put you off art altogether.
