Click on ADD ART, then UPLOAD IMAGE. Choose your image and then click up-load. When it is done you should see its name at the top, it is then you should be able to add a title and description...DONE! I hope this helped.when I click on add art the box pops up but it just has this symbol inside like it is loading but it doesn't do anything else. When I try to use the simple loader it just doesn't seem to be doing anything.

Hi Starr and April,
I just tried to upload my art to make sure it was still working, and it worked for me, so let's try to see why it's not working for you.
Firstly, there's a chance it may take awhile if your files are really big... plus big files will take longer on a slower Internet connection. By way of example, when I upload my images I try to keep the file under 100kb if possible, but definitely under 500kb. If you're uploading images from a digital camera, there's a good chance they are way bigger than that (my digital camera images are 2.5mb - 3.5mb). I use Photoshop to resize my images to make them ready for the Internet. If you don't have an image-editing program, there is a free Yahoo tool you can use called SmushIt that will "smush" your image into a web-ready size: http://www.smushit.com/ysmush.it/ (Click on "uploader" and that's where you upload your work to be smushed.)
If that's not the issue, let me know and we'll try to get to the bottom of it. Do you use this procedure:
I just use the simple uploader also, I never use the Flash (but that's just my preference).
Anyway, hope we can get this figured out.
Wayne - Thank you so much for assisting these ladies! :)
Since this is a related issue to the one Pauline and Wayne have been discussing in the Reference Image Pool, I've moved their conversation here so we can keep track of this issue in one place:
Hi Thaneeya, Sorry to bother you. I'm not sure if you are the person to ask or not. If not please pass this on. I've tried several times to download an image of a photo to the rference photo pool. After I click on Image then browse for the image, click on it, it doesnt download. I'm not sure what is wrong. I know how to do it, but it just doesnt seem to work Any ideas? Thank you in advance Pauline P.lS. I tried to send this message by messaging you but it wouldn't send for some reason lol. Not my day for computers.!
Have you clicked on the UPLOAD button after choosing your image? Is this what you mean.
Hi Wayne, After I've browsed for the picture in the "ADD IMAGE" window it doesnt upload. So I first of all clicked on the Image icon as in this reply box and then found the image, but it wont upload or download. I hope that makes sense. Thank you for trying to help.
Okay, well I've just UPLOADED an image to the site with no problems whatsoever. The way I done it was click ADD IMAGE (BOX POPS UP). I click in the box and am told to BROWSE for image. I then select my image and click on OPEN, it then then (in top right corner) tells me the size of the image in Kb's, I click upload and it's done. If this doesn't help well I really don't know. lol Good luck!
Hi Wayne, that is exactly what i've done. But after I browse then select image, click on open it doesnt say in the top right corner the size of the image. I'm wondering now if the image is too big and it wont accept it. I know it is really easy to do. I've done it many times in other situations. Thanks so much I appreciate you help.
The image sounds to big. If the little timer is spinning for far to long, it's the image. not a problem on the help side, and once again, good luck!
Thanks Wayne, I'm going to reduce the image. Thaneeya has said that 3 others are having trouble too. I'm sure we will get there in the end. Thanks for all your help.
I am having the same problem Starr is having when I go to add artwork the symbol just keeps swirling like it isn't loading the loader. That is before I have even selected a picture. And I can't even load a small profile picture. I open it and it shows in the box but it just doesn't load.
I've heard back from Support and it sounds like this is likely a browser issue, since it is only a problem for certain members. In particular they mentioned: "We've found that some installations of Internet Explorer 9 aren't able to handle the Image Upload feature on Ning Networks. We are working on a fix, but for now I'd suggest giving Firefox (getfirefox.com) a try. That should give your members better results."
I'm on Firefox and I haven't had any problems with the site. What browsers are you guys using? Does the image upload function work if you use a different browser?
