Post your finished Abstract Art here for Show & Tell!

Your work can be any size, any medium, as long as it is abstract and as long as it is finished.  There will be a separate thread for works-in-progress, if you want feedback on a piece before it is finished.

Please check out the Show & Tell Guidelines before posting here.

Be sure to do all of the things below if you are posting your work:

  • Show us your artwork - 1 artwork per post. (Click here to learn how to add an image to your forum post.)
  • Tell us about it (medium, size, techniques, and what inspired the piece).
  • Tell us whether you welcome critique. You can type something like "Comments and feedback welcome" to indicate that you are interested in receiving constructive criticism that may help broaden your art skills. If you have specific questions about certain aspects of your piece, please ask in your initial post, because it will help other members hone in on the areas where you want feedback.

You may also comment on other people's artwork, but remember to keep it friendly and constructive.  If you like a piece, please explain why.

Can't wait to see your abstract art!  :)

Good work, Rob; great use of colour and cascading forms.

Untitled, acrylic on canvas.

It was based on a drawing with lettraset twin tip felts. Its an experiment with complimentaty colours, I'm planning a few more of these with other colour cominations but im out of canvas at the moment. What do you think?

This is an abstract work I did for a commission. It was kinda difficult for me, since I am more of a realistic artist, but the client was very happy, so I thought I did OK. . After posting it on my FB page, I got a truckload of grief from other artists though...one of them saying I was wasting my time. I actually liked doing the abstract work as a "head cleaner", but the negative responce made me quit. Please give me an honest responce about this piece. I really enjoy it, but if it has no value, it's just not worth continuing doing more. TX!

Elmarie, I love it.

Imaginative butterflies I would say. Most enjoyable. Wouldn´t change a thing unless you are thinking about more color.

hi just finished this one!!! abstract butterflies....was fun making these !! wat do you think?

This is beautiful.... the balance is keeping the eye in the piece and the different doodle art within keeps it moving. You could enter this in the doodle art as well, those of us who love doodles would appreciate your style. Great job.

The photo is so-so but the design is enchanting and unique.

i HAVE USED A RED DYE AND A COPPER PLATE FOR THIS THE SIZE IS ABOUT A1

I would welcome any comments on this and any other pieces i have done i have a wide range of styles from sculpture top music portraits to poetry. I am engaged with the moments following existence, the transient period between important moments in our existence, the silence behind the sound, what does that look like?... Do we love death when its been and gone?
Here is MY moment of self awareness when the darkness acquires color and form, when the darkness speaks...

Thank-you for your attention All comments and critique will be welcomed.

Frank Savage.
