***Closed*** In the Style of.....Marc Chagall atc swap*******

I hope everyone is ready to return to a study of the Masters. We had so much fun with this last time and everyones' work was amazing. I've got a list started of favorites on our Swap Art page so if there is someone you are interested in, feel free to add their name below and I'll throw it in the pot as well. I thought we could start off with someone a little fun to get our creative juices going.... Marc Chagall

Marc Chagall was a Russian born artist who created numerous works of art that incorporated dreamlike images and symbols to describe experiences or follow themes from his childhood. Some of his artworks are lighthearted and fanciful and refer to a much simpler life in the Russian village he grew up in, while other works have a much more serious tone referring to the persecution of the Jewish people and the terrors of war.

I personally prefer his more lighthearted works like Dream Village . It happens to be one my UIL team is studying this year. It has a beautiful vase of flowers in the center but when you look at the blue areas around it, you see a cow playing a fiddle, lovers etc that look “dreamlike". Please sign up below if you are interested =)

We will make 2 regulation size atcs each for 2 partners(4 total)

Sign up deadline is December 4. They should be posted no later than January 6. I know that is a long time but because of the holidays I know some of us will be a bit busier than usual =)

Wonderful Elaine! Glad you are in on the reboot LOL The last few years have been so busy for me that I haven't had time to do the research on our artists and I really miss these swaps.

Sorry Stacy, I am unable to do these at the present moment, have fun.  Marion K

That's OK Marion, you'll be missed. Join us when you can and I'll try to make a few extras along the way LOL Notice I said try =) I was going to work on some Monday but ended up have 6 unexpected visits that took up almost my entire day. 2 were from a neighbor with Alzheimers who wandered over to my house to "meet" me. Bless her heart, everyday I get to make a new first impression with her. I'm afraid she is at the point she is going to need 24/7 care.

Please count me in. I learned and enjoyed so much our last swaps with masters !! Looking forward to getting started with a new bunch !! Happy Thanksgiving, Stacy !! xx

Partners posted! Just us die-hards LOL

Thanks Stacy, I'm enjoying looking through Chagall. I have finished 2 and will wait for the next 2 until I can get to a new Russian Museum in Malaga which is opening with a exhibition of Chagall. How lucky am I ? So excited !! Hoping to get there this week or early next week. Can't wait to be inspired and snap up some great post cards. xx

We will be expecting great things from you Sharon. haha ... The rest of us poor souls will have to rely on our inspiration from what we can find on the internet ( or at least I will as the closest art museum to me is about 1000 miles away ) . Enjoy your visit to the new Museum.

Thank you, Elaine. I will report back as faithfully as possible. x
