This is so true it is a problem. I am wondering if maybe the colored pencil has been dropped a lot or just got banged around and is already broke inside. Also some times temperature changes can make them break. (Being to hot then cooled down) I have often thought about putting the pencil in a microwave for a couple of seconds and see if they would fuse back(if they are broken inside) . I haven't experimented with this theory as of yet. But just wondered if it would work. Maybe some one else would be willy to try it. I just haven't gotten around to it.

LOL, I missed the ´birth´ of this group and the discussion about whether or not it should remain just colored or not. Just tuned in when it was already called colored pencils, pens and markers and to me this is so absolutely logical as a pair of media to combine. Great idea Gail to start this group, happy to be here! So thank you!

I think making a copy of ones work, having a good look and trying different things before finishing off the original, is a brilliant idea! I tried this with Lyxn and decided in the end to leave the background white.

Hi Gail, Thank YOU! :) It's great to have you on board spearheading these great ideas! And now that I think about it, the idea to have all these media in one group is actually better to begin with, rather than separating them, since there is so much crossover anyway. I too got the idea to use markers with colored pencils from our wonderful member Sharon Oppenheimer and I look forward to seeing what people create by combining these media! This will be a great group!!

Thanks so much for starting this group, Gail! I think it will work to have colored pencils, pens and markers in one group and then if people request separate groups for specific media then we can start the separate groups. We'll just take it as it comes. :)
