i have been told my paintings are some times to tight... how do i loosen up how do i get back to my creativity person and not get caught up in trying to mimic exactness..is there some way to practice looser work

Paint the way your heart tells you is  really right for you... Tight means more realism? Loose means impresionism? Please be your own artist : ) For inspiration, find something that you really love and let it flow onto the canvas. Take breaks as soon as it gets to be a job instead of pleasure. I am talking about myself here LOL... I have painted things over, lumps and bumps everywhere and in the end I have thrown it away. That is an unhappy artist, striving for perfection or seeing something that I could put here or there, without a plan, which is fine but I have wasted time and money only to end up with a mess and a canvas in the trash. Just be you : ) Good luck Kenn, : )

This is a mantra that every artist needs to internalize.  Needless to say, I haven't, so it's a process, a reminder that art is for the artist as well as one who views it.  Thanks for keeping us looking at the perspective.
