11 x 15, colored pencil & ink on watercolor paper. One of my fashion designs from the late 80's (brought up to date) that is Egyptian-inspired and drawn on a background of Egyptian figures and hieroglyphics. I graduated summa cum laude from The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (Los Angeles) with a professional certificate in fashion design in 1988--and I still have all my work from back then! By the way, the background figures & hieroglyphics were all meticulously hand-drawn, one-by-one. I used a photo of carvings from the Pyramids for the figures & for some of the hieroglyphics, & just made up some of them. I created a 1/2" square grid in pencil all over the drawing so that I could draw them in an orderly manner, in pencil. Then I went over the hieroglyphics in ink, then laid down the background color in colored pencil over the figures--the whole process took a LONG time!
