Thank you . I'm so glad we only normally get a hurricane ever 100 years or so. The last one to hit was 30 years ago and although many trees were down and lots of houses lost the roofs in the town I just had two fence panels and my runner beans knocked over.

What always makes me laugh is when we get a strong wind and rain is the amount of people who still insist on having an umbrella up which always gets turned inside out so they're going to get wet anyway

Reminds me of the night my son and me visited the Hydro in Glasgow to see Status Quo.  I had not long recovered from a broken knee and walked with a stick.   The Hydro is a round building and it had been windy all day.  When we came out of the Hydro the wind caught hold of me (I am only 5ft tall and light) well I took to my heels with the wind at my back and went tearing along the pavement like a woman possessed.  The thought going through my head was please don't let me fall.   Eventually my son who thought I had taken leave of my senses caught up with me and managed to catch me.   Best of it was folk were clearing a path to let me through.

I do like your painting, very funny.

thank you very much. By the sounds of it people will get a chance to try a bit of umbrella flying tomorrow night as we have a couple of big storms heading for the UK .
