Crayon Drip

This is my version of the very popular "melting crayon technique" that crafters everywhere are trying out. I wanted to do my own version of it with glitter and Blue background.

I've been dying to have a go at this.  I love the colours and the way they run together - and what a great idea to add some glitter.  Nice one!!

THIS IS AWESOME!!! I haven't melted crayons since my childhood. I'd love to try something like this!

thanks! it is a technique that is swarming the internet right now. Everybody is doing it. Its fairly easy, I'm sure you could find TONS of tuturials. but what I did was I hot glued a row of unwrapped crayons to the top of my canvas. after I painted the background and then I used a hairdryer on a "low setting" to melt the crayons. Make sure that your canvas is proped up on an easel or something when you melt it them so they melt in a straight line down the canvas! HAVE FUN!!!!

Casey, how long does something like that take? seems like on a low setting it would take forever...but ya know what.....GOTTA TRY IT!! or at least put it on my to do list. very cool

doesn't take very long at all.. the crayons melt like butter! You have to do it on a low setting because if you do it on High the crayons melt faster but the high pressure air blows the wax in a splatter instead of a drip look.
