Tea and prayers

Carbon pencils, on 14x17 Strathmore vellum 300 series Bristol Board.

I used Carbon pencils for the first time on this pic, and I'm liking them a lot.
The really great thing about them is that unlike graphite, there's absolutely no reflection. So you don't get any glare from direct lighting while you're drawing....Bonza!

You have created quite a fabulous piece... the expression makes me want to learn about her life and their stories.  I'm glad that you are enjoying the Carbon pencils, you have produced quite a piece. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks everyone.............Mary and Stephanie, the woman facing us does indeed have a an interesting face, full of the trials of life. But the thing I want to know when I look at this pic, is why has the other woman got a Band-aid stuck to her ear? :o)
