Hi Brian thank you for your lovely comments on my art work it seems to have been for ever since I last showed any art work lol, I use the Bristol Vellum 500 for most things pastel, coloured pencil etc, I have even painted on it in acrylic, I layer a lot with both pastels pencils and coloured pencils and it just seems able to carry on taking the layers thank you again all the best Pat
Hi Brian, re the plate of Poinsettias, It was painted on MDF, the flowers and ribbon etc was based in white first before using the reds. I then painted the green quite a few times sanding with wet and dry sandpaper between coats I wipe off any green that went on the white with a damp cloth. The style is folk/decorative art which I learn t many years ago. You will videos on youtube for that style...Thank you for lovely comments again and for the friend's invite
