I have seriously studied art since high school and went on to earn an associates degree in commercial and graphic arts. After graduation I was involved in publishing and advertising. During those years I always carried a sketchbook and painted as I still do today. I continue to pursue my studies through reading, practice, and mostly trial and error.
My mediums of choice are watercolors, charcoals and ink.
I have also been involved with several long forgotten historical sites. Some of my works will show the site and various structures as they are or as they were. It is with a painting or drawing that shows the emotion and feelings for historical structures.
My interests are in the historic arena studying historical buildings and places in the area. I also participate in “Living History” demonstrations of the American Revolution where you may catch me sketching in charcoal, lead, or ink using a hand cut goose quill.
I am a member of the North Penn Art Alliance and my art has been displayed throughout the North Penn Area, Central and Southeast Pennsylvania. Several of my pieces are in private collections and several drawings of historical sites have been published as note cards and sold through the gift shops of these sites. I also display at historical sites throughout the area.
I look forward to continue learning and meeting new friends, but most of all I will be enjoying this wonderful journey of Art.
