Hi,I am looking for a good chalk pastel course and after that an oil pastel course. Often artists are not the best teachers, but there are a few that are particularly good. For drawing there is Betty Edwards drawing on the right side of the Brain. Frank Clarke for watercolours Mark Carder for oil painting. It is not that you want to produce art like them, but when you have finished their course you know how to handle the medium to produce your own art. Please note that as much as we love photography, this site focuses on hand-crafted art forms so photography is not allowed.  Please also familiarize yourself with our guidelines on Digital Art.  As per the Member Guidelines:

Digital art is accepted, as long as it fits the following definition: "Computer-generated art that is created by hand (i.e. using a tablet, stencil etc), either from scratch or from a reference source."

We've also put together a handy Guide to Getting Started, which may help answer any questions you may have, such as how to create a bio for your page.

Most of all have fun and join in the forums and groups!  Can't wait to see your art. :)
