I have always loved interior design and have created many rooms for my family and freinds that get nice reviews. I know how to create flow, combine colors and textures and find the focal point in a room.
Although good interior design is indeed a creative process, there are rules in general that must be followed.
I've recently started painting and I now have to learn how to break all the rules. The freedom I feel when I have a brush in my hand is both exhilarating and frightening.
I have much to learn but intend to enjoy the journey.
Creating abstracts is what I really, really enjoy and to date I have yet to create one piece that I think is really good.
I photograph my work after I'm finished and save it to the computer. I enjoy, "looking for the picture within the picture", that is, I might not like the finished piece overall, but there are aspects of each work that I do enjoy. That's why you'll see close ups of my pictures saved separately from the wide shot.
Someday I hope to create a work that I'm completely satisfied with, however I'm prepared to face the fact that that day may never come.
Thank you for visiting my site. Please let me know what you think.
