I can see what you mean, Ted. If I wasn't going to use water with them, there would be no reason to use them. I've also done water soluble oils so I have used a wet medium before. I may give the watercolor pencils a try at some point.
Hello Ted thank-you for asking bout my wrist kind of you to think of me. My wrist is okay now but my hand is still a problem as it tires very quickly. Haven't got back to painting yet as I've been reading more & we've been on holiday as well, hope to soon though ! Have a good week, Lyn xx
Hello Ted. It was most kind of you to leave such lovely remarks on my Gently Blending. The beauty of doing Tangles, is they don't need to be done in one go, but put down and taken up again when one feels up to doing it. Doing it this way takes no patience really, just the joy of seeing it building... Have a go at one perhaps.. Barbara. ... Have a lovely weekend.
I started with painting using acrylics and also dabbled a little in oil. About a year ago I realised that while I like painting, I love the dry mediums more. I have three paintings to complete (for my living room) and then I will get rid of the materials and focus on pencil, pastel and charcoal work. Although I also enjoy mixing the watercolour pencils with watercolour paint in urban/pen sketches. It is now purely a question of time, I cannot do everything! All the best with your projects :)
