Well, how rude of me to blow off this question. I never even saw it, as I so rarely come here, and I didn't mean to ignore you!
Thank you for the compliment! My work has improved over the last three years. The dog was done with Stabilo Carbothello pastel pencils, probably on Mi Teintes pastel paper, which I now dislike. Now I use four different brands of pastel pencils... Stabilos, Derwents, Pitts, and Caran D'Ache, and I work exclusively on Pastelmat.
Thanks for checking in and remembering my little Mattie. Both of my pups are gone now. The poodle, Khaki, was 14 1/2 and she was ready to say good bye last summer. Mattie, the one with the silly tongue hanging out, was ready in early December. Miss them. I am trying to find the right photo to paint a new one of Mattie in the same size as my Khaki painting.
Are you happy with the results of your shoulder rebuild? Glad to hear you are back to painting! Adrienne
One of my girls is a shin tu, terrier mix. Everyone falls in love with her. Her enlarged heart makes it hard for her to breath and she has frequent coughing jags. She takes Meds for it, and also for Cushings disease. The disease and the Meds make her have to pee constantly. Otherwise, she is still a funny little duck. My other one is a mini poodle. She thinks she's a gazelle, though. Even though she can't see anymore, she still likes to run and jump around the house. Unfortunately, she crashes into walls and does. :p
