now, when it's all quiet...

I am pretty sure this happened to most of you too: out of the blue you see the picture in your mind, and it's so real and it's right there. You see all the characters and shapes and details, and for some reason it's so important to you that you can't think of anything else, and you have no other choice but to put it on paper. Here's one of those - "...now, when it's all quiet..." I am not posting it in My Artworks, I think you understand.

Thanksgiving 2014

Hello again. I have a lot to be thankful for. As you may know. I recently had  a Vitrectomy in my right eye to repair a macular hole. I had lost most of the sight in left eye about  15 years ago due to a macular hole ,that even with surgery, could not be repaired,

I am happy to report that the hole was repaired, and I shouldn't lose any more of my sight.  However, I do not see nearly as well as I did when I started painting last January.

The First Step.

The journey of a thousand li begins with the first step (Lao Tzu).

Comparisons

I have a sad habit of comparing my work with others. My mother, who is also an artist, says my style speaks thru my Art. My art is better than some but then I find tons of other Art that I say "Man!! Why do I even bother!!" I've seen some animal Art that are SOOOO awesome. Makes me just cry looking at their talent!!

Reliable electric colored pencil sharpener

I've looked all over for a reliable electric colored pencil sharpener on the internet, and it seems they're all invisible. Does anyone know of an electric pencil sharpener that sharpens evenly around the entire tip, that is, a sharpener that doesn't leave a lot of wood on any of the pencil's sharpened surface?

Many thanks,
Bob
