Hi All..

I had been working on a painting of a Cobb & Co stagecoach, but that project had to be interrupted (briefly), after an invitation arrived to enter in an upcoming art show/comp in November.

It is limited to work on a 18" x 24" canvas only...a size I rarely use...so it meant that had to do two new pieces.

The subjects I elected to do, are, a sleeping Ginger Tom Cat and a Superb Blue Wren.

I am using Createx Wicked acrylics.

The sleeping cat....

Establishing base colors

Further progress

At this point, I have switched to the Wren painting..

Subdued foliage background...airbrushed.

Sketched on and initial base colors being established

Bird nearing completion...tail and minor teaks, yet to be finalized..

I will paint the barbed wire last....it will be done, with a rusted appearance.

Both are still, works in progress.

Cheers - Dallas
