Hi all..
My current painting project...

A Saltwater Crocodile
On a 24" x 36" stretched canvas - Createx Wicked Acrylics,

I picked a fairly complex subject this time. A lot of complicated detail to do..

I applied three extra coats of primer to the canvas. I tinted the primer with a small amount of Sepia acrylic.
The sketch on the canvas was done, using a white watercolor pencil.

I started by painting in some of the Crocodile's head features.

However, I really needed to configure the environment he will be in, so I switched to do that.

The dark green was done as a base color only

I over painted the dark green with a Chrome Green/white mixed acrylic

This color will suit the final scene, it is typical of a tropical mangrove creek habitat.

I also added a bit more preliminary detail to the Crocodile. He has very complicated features

The Crocodile will be painted last.

I'm pretty sure it will take a while to get this painting completed,

Cheers
