My current painting project...
A Saltwater Crocodile
On a 24" x 36" stretched canvas - Createx Wicked Acrylics,
I picked a fairly complex subject this time. A lot of complicated detail to do..
I applied three extra coats of primer to the canvas. I tinted the primer with a small amount of Sepia acrylic.
The sketch on the canvas was done, using a white watercolor pencil.
However, I really needed to configure the environment he will be in, so I switched to do that.
This color will suit the final scene, it is typical of a tropical mangrove creek habitat.
I also added a bit more preliminary detail to the Crocodile. He has very complicated features
The Crocodile will be painted last.
I'm pretty sure it will take a while to get this painting completed,
Wow. The detail is amazing. Lots of work and concentration required. I admire this work.
Fabulous crocodile form Dallas ,and the mangrove swamp is configured well, the sepia acrylic mixed with primer has worked well to form the skin, eyes and fine convolutions, nice descriptive notes on how this painting is developing too!
