Are you ready for your next destination? If you are, then be prepared for an assault on your senses as you enter the world of Mexico and South America. The Mexican and South American people have a fascinating culture and there is endless beauty in so many places in this part of the world I hardly know where to direct you to start your journey. But as your travel host I will try and guide you along – where you end up is entirely your choice! Let’s start with just a few interesting facts about Mexico...
The official name for Mexico is Estados Unidos Mexicanos (United Mexican States). Mexico introduced chocolate, corn and chilies to the world. Really? God bless Mexico (especially for the chocolate)! The largest wild cat in the world is the jaguar which lives in the Mexican jungles. Every year millions of Monarch Butterflies from North America migrate to Mexico. In Mexico, once a year, the citizens will make calaveras de azucar (sugar skulls) in preparation for their Day of the Dead celebrations. If you want to see some amazing Day of the Dead Artwork look around Thaneeya McArdle’s page for inspiration! Then there is the Chichen Itza Pyramid, named as one of the new Seven Wonders of the World. Check it out!
I’m sure most of you are familiar with some of the wonders to be seen in South America. The first one that comes to mind is the South American Amazon Rainforest. I went to the Imax theatre to watch a movie on the Amazon and it was a jaw dropping experience – the beauty and mystery of that jungle is beyond anything else I’ve ever seen in my travels. South America is also home to the tallest waterfall in the world – Angel Falls and one of the most beautiful cities in the world – Rio de Janeiro. Brazilians like to boast that God made the earth in 6 days and spent the 7th day making Rio de Janeiro! Another place you may want to check out is the Galapagos Islands. You could easily do all three of your atc’s from this area alone!
So take your time finding your muse in this wonderful and vast land you find yourself in. Don’t rush! This part of our trip is going to be pure eye candy and I don’t want you to miss a thing. Here are some videos to start you on your trek. Enjoy!

I'm hooked on this one...
Hi Susanne, Please add me to the list. I'm really hooked on making these. It's so cool researching native art from all these different countries and amazing to see the similarities. I also would be interested in a thread to display ATCs from my private swaps. I have received several which are so lovely, I would love to share them. Thank you.
