The giveaway has ended.

Thank you to everyone who participated!

Congrats to our winners:

Joanie Pittman

and

Brenda Stetler!!

The Art Colony is pleased to offer you a chance to

win a free copy of

Draw Groovy

a 64-page book by Thaneeya McArdle (yeah that's me)! This fun book is filled with easy step-by-step lessons that show you how to draw colorful whimsical art such as owls, cats, mandalas, paisley, butterflies and more!

Draw Groovy was written with kids in mind, so it would be a perfect gift for a budding young artist! Teens and adults might enjoy the book too, particularly beginning artists who want to learn to draw cute colorful art filled with shapes and patterns.

For a detailed look at Draw Groovy, I encourage you to check out my overview of Draw Groovy on Art-is-Fun.com, where you will find images of the lessons in this book, and learn more about what this inspiring book contains.

Good morning!  What a fabulous book and give away!  I Zentangle and Art Journal and my 10 year old daughter has gotten into the groove as well!  I would love to win because I think this would be a fabulous book that we could share in creating in our art journaling together!  Such a cute, cute book!  Thanks for the opportunity!

This book would be just perfect for when my older grandchildren visit! My grandson just loves to draw, and my grand daughter loves the whimsical, pretty things to draw!  I would also enjoy this book!! Thanks so much for a chance to win!

i just love this book and it would be perfect for me as i have 11 grandchildren and we often have "art days" - i teach them different mediums and this would be such fun from the youngest to the eldest!!!! i would also definitely use it as i refurbish and decorate furniture and crafted items. thank you for the opportunity of winning your book :)

I have recently gotten addicted to zentangles and I am always looking for a way to make them more interesting and whimsical. By looking at the book cover, it looks like it would have lots of fun, whimsical and interesting inspirations for me to try adding to my new found love of zentangles and doodles! I am crossing my fingers!!! I would love to win a copy of your new book! Thanks for giving several away and sharing your talent!

I LOVE your work! My grandmother was an artist and had just began teaching some things to me when she passed away...that was 23 years ago. Unfortunately, my mom didn't inherit the flair for art and because of devastation, my aunt laid down her pencils and brushes, never to pick them up again. I'm very artsy, but have always had this "block" in my mind, thinking I needed a teacher. We live in such a remote area, there's very little in the way of purchasing lessons. After all of this time and holding on to this desire, I FINALLY decided that some how, some way, I am going to be an artist. I've purchased the "Let's Draw" class, I've gone through all of the tutorials on "Art is Fun", I have done some other tutorials on other sites, and I'm soaking everything in. I would love to have your book because it would be another step in learning to draw and "create". I'm exploring all types of art and several mediums. I love the whimsical pieces you do and I know I want to incorporate that type of art into my work. (:

Thank you for ALL you do!

Jessica

Looks great ! I would like to win this book because I am teaching a free art class at a community outreach center (Google Kingsway, Hamilton Ontario !). We feed the hungry, clothe the poor and offer free classes on varied topics, including addictions, life skills and now we are beginning Self Awareness Through Art ! Our clientele are street people - homeless, poor and often uneducated. A book for beginners would be perfect. Our center is funded through private donations, so any class I teach, I personally provide the materials that are used. Thanks for considering me !

Congratulations Thaneeya! I saw your book posted on Amazon.com. How exciting and well deserved. I would love to own a copy of your book( autographed ?) because I am a huge fan of your work. I would love to share your book with the kids I work with. I would have loved for someone to teach me how to draw like this when I was a child, to embrace the whimsey! Thanks Thaneeya!

Love the whimsy! Looks like fun. I'd love to share with my 7 year old grandson!

I would love to win this because I have a strong hope to make art as important to my stepdaughter as it has always been to me.  :)
