I would like to win the book Painting Light with Colored Pencils by Cecile Baird. Although I have a set of colored pencils, I haven't used them because I'm not really sure how to start. The step-by-step demonstrations would help me get started! Thank you for doing this giveaway.

I am using colored pencils more and more. Need to hone my skills!

I just took a class that taught us to blend skin tones with colored pencils.  I would love to win this book to learn more about blending.  It looks fantastic!

I would love to have this book! It is amazing what can be done with colored pencils. My goal would be to learn how to reproduce the beautiful rosé on the cover.
Thanks for the opportunity.
I would use this book to improve my pencil work as well as using it in my classroom.

I’d like to win this book because I’d like to learn to draw flowers since I am starting a lavender/herb/flower farm on 2 of my 10 acres.  Once I get it all planted I’d love to sit outside enjoying the view while I relaxed with my art.  Thanks for this opportunity.

As someone who treasures books and the knowledge they bring into our lives, I love having a book I can refer to as I learn my craft. This looks like one that can teach me so much, and as Sandra mentioned, it might extend to other mediums too. I would use this to work on getting a bright picture and getting realistic light into my drawings. Thanks and good luck to everyone!

I am a beginner and can use help such as this!

I would love to have this book. I just recently bought some new prismacolor colored pencils and I would love to know more techniques for them. Thanks!

Color has vibrational energy, and therefore some colors can be very uplifting and healing.  To learn more about how to create colorful healing art that uses this medium would be a awesome gift and opportunity. In such a needful world like ours, we can all use the curing power of color!

I am dreaming of writing a book that will be about healing and including colorful drawings of nature.

I've been scared to try color and had vowed to not even think of trying color until I get the drawing part down. Currently, I'm taking my first drawing class. I'm 48 and have worked as a professional chemist and this art stuff has been a stretch for me as it is.

The class is mellow but the emphasis has been on colored pencils and I've stubbornly stuck to drawing with my trusty 4B. I think I'm ready to take the plunge now and being who I am, a book would be a good diving board since that is how I learn best and would allow me to maximize my instructor face time.

It would be a glorious example of serendipity to win this. It would be an auspicious sign to mark my beginning in the use of color.

I would love to win this book because colored pencils are my favorite medium. I almost enjoy reading how-to books and viewing videos as much as painting with colored pencils. It seems like every time I learn something new.

Thank you for the opportunity.
