I HAVE BEEN USING WATERCOLOUR PENCILS FOR A WHILE, BOUGHT SOME REGULAR COLOURED PENCILS  AND REALLY LIKE THE EFFECT I GET,   WOULD LIKE TO LEARN MORE AND ESPECIALLY TO ADD LIGHT TO PAINTINGS,  THIS LOOKS LIKE A GOOD TEACHING BOOK

I am 53 and finally am able to return to a passion of mine...Art.  I spent many years in college, medical school, residency, and practice.  I barely had time to breathe.  But now an opportunity has come to re-ignite that passion.  I am taking some art classes from a local community college and have had a miraculously wonderful time exploring media and learning about art fundamentals.  I have a set of colored pencils, but really don'e know how to use them to their full capacity.  I think this book would encourage me to try them to create artwork instead of sitting on my shelf.  I would need help with the techniques and I believe this book would assist me to create vibrate, lively works.

I would love to win this book because it is filled with great information about coloring so realistically. I would be able to do that for the illustrations in a book I am in the process of working on.

I would like to win this book, because I haven't experimented with color pencil yet even though I have a set. It's a medium I'd like to explore.

I love to win this book because i love nature... And its colors, i want to be more familiar with the philosophy of nature colors with colorpencil instruments and then i would teach them to my little students :)

I would like to win this book to advance my knowledge of different mediums.  I have pencils and recently have been trying to experiment without really knowing the different tools and techniques.  Thanks.

I would use this book to inspire my art kids to learn how to layer their colors to enhance their colored pencil work in my room!

I have dabbled with pencil sketches and drawings for years.  Only recently, since retirement and turning 63, have I begun using colored pencils and love the subtle suggestion of hues they give my drawings.  After looking at the preview of this instruction book I LOVE the deeper hues and imagery colored pencils give ordinary objects and living things!  I want to do this!

Thank you!

I use watercolor pencils and love them, but haven't mastered the colored pencil coloring.  This would be a great tool!  Thanks for the opportunity!

My father passed away three years ago from Cancer.  My mom was feeling lost, lonely and bored.  I kept racking my brain to find something for her to do that would bring her some joy in her life.  She said she couldn't paint or draw but I forged ahead and signed us up for an Art class.  To both of our suprise, she is not only an excellent drawer but also a great colorist.  I guess that comes from years as a Master Cosmotologist.  Now that I we have started in the Art world, we want to explore all types of mediums and techniques.  I believe this book would be an excellent choice for two beginners who want to learn together.
