I would die for this book.  Well that is a little extreme, but I have always painted with watercolor, and now have branched into acrylics and I am fascinated with learning more about painting with mixed media.  I spend hours online with youtube, but am a tactil person and it would be lovely to have this book.

Why would I like to win this book? Well, for one, I'm a sucker for art books that I can use for inspiration - Two, I dream of doing mixed media, but have yet to cross the barrier of my lack of self confidence to actually use all the various interesting pieces of hmmm, well, stuff that I've collected.  Three, I've never won anything - or I have, but don't recall, and  four, I love a bit of a gamble.   So, why not enter?

Hum, how much time do you have for me to tell you all the reasons i NEED this book?? Im also a Youtube freak when it comes to tutorials. Im so very very new at all this and i am learning something every single day (normally in here) LOL. I would treasure this book.

Thank you for considering me for this AWESOME giveaway. PICK ME, PICK ME. lol

Wow, this book would do all sorts of things for so many people in my life. It would help me to try mixing some different styles of art together to create such interesting pieces. It would help inspire my father not only to continue painting, but also branch out and away from watercolours a litltle bit more. This book would also help all those artists in my 5-12 yr old chilcare center... oh just imagine the things those young, creative minds could come up with! Also, I am so very new to this site, what a wonderful introdu tion it would be to win! :)

"Why would you like to win this book?"

or

"What would you use the info in this book to create?"

as this the question which is one line i want to answer in one too..

My answer is

"I Am Learner always so i want to learn more"

And my second answer is

"I will pass on the knowledge of it to others also so that they can also learn it."

My reason is simple.  I live on the side of a mountain near the costa Rican border.  Art teachers are hard to come by so I learn by any means I can and have at my disposal.  And at this moment all my art that I work with is in mixed drawing medias and I would love to expand that knowledge.  I am currently an up and coming wildlife artist here in Panama.  I promote the arts by putting together an annual international art expo.  I teach children here in the small farming community I live in that you CAN make a living with art.  That there is more to life than soccer and farming for the rest of your life if you want it.  I would love to fold the corners of the pages working with this book.   Linda

I love working in mixed media, and this book would be a great inspirational resource. There are so many possibilities with mixed media and this book would help me to focus my creative energy and to try some new combinations and techniques. I teach K-8 art and can see many possibilities for new, more open-ended lessons with my students.

I would make a painting based on some of the art journaling techniques I have learned and I am curious to see how similar this book is to art journaling in its' techniques.

I've just started painting with acrylics and would love to branch out into all forms of mixed media.

I am interested in this book as I did not know that so many paints could be mixed, like oil over acrylic.  I mostly have used archlics, spent some time in water colors, and have pastels that I have not had a chance to use yet.  These were bought at an estate sale and I have not had a chanace to use them as I really didn't really know where to start.  I also have oil pencils along with regular art pencils.  I am just interested in all mediums.  I would like to make an art journal with mixed media to start with, examples, notes, my own ideas, and also actual mixed media samples included..  Also mixed media woud make some great art journal covers for what ever art you are using for them.  I am working on putting together one for each medium.  This book would help a lot with a mixed media one. I can see where cards would be a good use also.  I love reading and seeing new ideas with a chance of learning new techniques.  I also watch a lot of YouTube.  Knd of get lost in there so don't go real often. Too easy since one thing leads to another.  Have watched more since surgery as I can't pack right now.  Good excuse to watch more.

I have been painting for years in oils and I've always wanted to try mix media but quite frankly, I don't know where to begin. I haven't painted in awhile and need some much needed inspiration and a new beginning. This sounds like just the thing to get me motivated. I need to get back yo creating and going in a new direction. Thanks for your consideration.
