This month's theme is:
FAVORITE SONG LYRICS OR POEM
There is something about the lyrics to song you can't get out of your head or a poem you keep returning to time and time again because it has a special place in your heart.
I can think of several!
For the month of February play with this theme and create a journal page or altered book to capture the spirit of a song or poem that you love. You can capture the actual words used, choose to only use some of them, or leave them out entirely and instead choose images to convey the theme.
You can also add colors, designs, patterns, and any other embellishments you want to add to further enhance your artwork.
(Interpret the theme any way you wish--there are no other requirements!)
Artwork and comments welcome from everyone!
Have fun!

Valerie this is fabulous work! I especially like the middle image, with the birch trees. I really like how you composed this with the prayer border. What a peaceful and serene scene you have created with the warm colors for the background, rather than going with the traditional blues and greens for sky colors.
This journal could easily be displayed on a book easel and left open to these pages, as an open invitation to anyone passing by to rejoice. Beautiful work.
I don't think you have t worry too much about your journals following a theme. Mine don't! A journal is place to capture the moment, and this is always changing. I think of it as an opportunity to start fresh each time I open the cover of the journal and dive in. How does that sound?! ; >
yooooowwwl the image came out huge!!! This is my round Robin journal this one I am circulating to friends to journal in. Most of my journals are altered composition books.
Way cool! And what a fun idea too!
With my little eye, I spy LOTS more art (altered) journals in the background! Valerie - are all those yours, or are you in a group that passes them around? BTW - Love your Round Robin.
