I began oil painting when I was about 49 or 50 years old.  I am now 80, and I've enjoyed being a painter ever since that first day when I began.

I have a BS degree in industrial education, and I taught HS graphic arts, and Jr High science for one year, after which time I went into the lithographic trade, in which I'd already had some experience.  I was a color separator for over 40 years in the trade.  Because of my BS degree, I taught evening classes in vocational school, part-time, and in my later years, when I moved to Arizona, I taught color theory, and application at Arizona State University, part-time, for 4 years.

I just resigned after teaching oil painting at a local recreation center, where I taught for 9 years, representing 41 classes.

I'm also an ex-country/bluegrass musician.

I'm glad to be here.  I've already posted a bunch of my work, and some comments.
