Welcome to the monthly theme for February. Artwork and comments welcome from everyone!!!!

This month's theme is - Zen-sational
 (suggested by Nelson Failing)

This theme is a combination of 2 words: Zen and sensational, so whatever those two words combined inspire in you.

Here's how Nelson describes this theme: "I see zentangles gone wild, intricate, whimsical, beautiful, charming, fantasy and whatever is in your head to create a zentangle masterpiece...tangles within animal, people, flower, abstract shapes...creating stunning zentangle art pieces...your imagination is the limit..."

The theme is open to all artists whatever your medium.

Please post your finished artwork in this discussion thread.

These should be new pieces completed with this theme in mind.

Please remember to use the picture icon above text box to add images and not the attachment below. Click here for instructions on how to add an image to your forum post. This is important if you want people to be able to see your artwork!

To add your artwork, please use the "Reply to Discussion" box at the bottom of the page, NOT the "+ Add" button at the top of the page. (Otherwise your artwork will not show up in this thread.)

If you want to comment on someone's submission please do so here.

I can't wait to see how you interpret this - abstract, realistic, collage etc... so many opportunities for all.

Hi Thaneeya, I am loving the various challenges thank you. I am just not sure what is Zen sational,, I am not familiar with this term?

Using Zentangle pattern like designs I would say as the focal point of the project. Google Zentangle for more!

Hi Avryll, Glad to hear you are enjoying the challenges! Kenneth, thank you for explaining the theme.

This theme was suggested by our member Nelson Failing and in another thread someone asked what he had in mind, so I'll copy and paste his description:

"I see zentangles gone wild, intricate, whimsical, beautiful, charming, fantasy and whatever is in your head to create a zentangle masterpiece...tangles within animal, people, flower, abstract shapes...creating stunning zentangle art pieces...your imagination is the limit..."

I also see it as a combination of 2 words: Zen and sensational, so whatever those two words combined inspire in you. One of the fun part of these themes is that anyone can interpret them any way they wish, so let your imagination run wild! :)
