Welcome to the monthly theme for OCTOBER

Artwork and comments welcome from everyone!!!!

This month's theme is - GOOSEBUMPS

The theme is open to all artists whatever your medium.

Please post your finished artwork in this discussion thread.

These should be new pieces completed with this theme in mind.

Please remember to use the picture icon above text box to add images and not the attachment below. Click here for instructions on how to add an image to your forum post. This is important if you want people to be able to see your artwork!

To add your artwork, please use the "Reply to Discussion" box at the bottom of the page, NOT the "+ Add" button at the top of the page. (Otherwise your artwork will not show up in this thread.)

If you want to comment on someone's submission please do so here.

I can't wait to see how you interpret this - abstract, realistic, collage etc... so many opportunities for all.

When your good goose goes BAD

 Halloween Night was falling fast

On two little goosebumps hiding in the grass

Old orange moon was rising on high

When a flash of hell fire lit the sky

Those two little geese were changed right then

Never going to be that farmer's friend

Their black eyes grew red and their feathers thin

All just right for slicing skin

Came old farmer in his flop hat of blue

Before that night was through

Nice fat farmer was goose bump stew

Note:Prisma pencils and acrylic.

Cropped and titled in Photoshop.  I think I flunked prisma pencils. :(

Yes,Maria Lalala,  I creeped me out on this one too..LOL I had to write that scary poetry just to justify practicing prismacolor on this silly thing. I chose goslings cause they are cute. My coloring skills could be improved for sure, but  when I looked at the art piece ; it.s not that bad.  But omg! what do I do with it now?  First I thought "goosebumps" and saw football playing geese giving that chest bump thing they do. Then I looked a a photo of a baby goose and  thought," down on the farm", and the bump grew. Now I must live with a Duck N Devil.

Charlie, This is beautiful. And what wonderful color and design work, perfect balances.  I love the purple fabric with all the subtle patterns and folds.  Very marketable too.

I so hope I am posting my replies correctly..gulp*

This is another piece that is a combination of traditional and digital .. the pumpkin and the leaves were all done traditionally, in watercolor .. then, scanned into the computer ... the face was added, as was the hat and the background and other embellishments.  Love to play around, combining traditional and digital work .. Hugs...Charlie

Charlie and Unruly Orange, These are both GREAT !!!!

I took Goosebumps literally, here's a tangle I'm calling "Piloerection"

HaHa snort snort LOL. You are just too funny,Jo !!!! I had no idea that goosebumps had a proper name. Best laugh of the day by far !!!! Thanks for that !!! HaaaaaaaHaaaa btw great picture !!!

Jo that really funny and I agree I wouldn't have taken goosebumps literally. You certainly have a creative mind. I will be having guest so I won't be on for a couple of days. I've been working on the tangles and trying to get a steady hand so the don't look like wiggle worms.

Sharon and Unruly Orange .. thank you both ... lots of fun .. and UNruly Orange ... I loved your October Theme work!!!!  Hugs
