Hello All,

I need help here.   I overthought and over painted this little card.  Hated it, so I washed off as much as I could.  Where do I go from here.   I really wanted blue lilacs!

Thanks for your consideration,   Judy

If this was my example I would use a fine black pen and loosely outline shapes in the shadings of the flowers and leaves and call it a 'mixed media'.  I would suggest, if you want it look more detailed, to work from real lilacs and define the petals.  But then you might get to overworking again.  Keep it simple because it is a lovely composition as is.

Thank you Cecile - I will do what you suggested.  Besides lifting areas out with brush and water,  what can I do to break up the solid purple?

this is start of a lovely painting,  put some individual flowers here and there,  either lighter or darker than your bkground, actually use both  put yellow dot in center and there u go

sorry, on the leaves they r good ,  get a darker green and put in bit of leaf veins, don't overdo just suggestions of veins

Thank you Dianne.   I am doing  that  as we speak.   I will download revised pic.
