It's not so much a WIP as finished but I wasn't sure where to post it so here's my Victorian Children Portrait based on Emile Vernon Poster's painting "Best of Friends". There was another child and puppy in his original picture.

I used Faber-Castell Pitt Pastel Pencils on Sand Coloured Ingres Pastel Paper by Fabriano. I also filmed the tutorial on my website which ended up over 9 hours long! Oops!

Just beautiful!!!!

This is so beautiful, gorgeous Colin!  I love it, amazing job! Boggles my mind what some fantastic artists can achieve with pencils and you're one of them. I sent you a message about uploading to the gallery Colin.

Wow this is excellent...

these are the sweetest little girls, colin.

i haven't given up hope that i can be in control of my pastels yet, rather than the other way around, which it is at present.

anyway, you have captured the essence of the original painting - it's most beautiful. i'm sure you will put this piece under glass and frame and hang it somewhere lovely. congratulations.

Absolutely beautiful!
