I am painting a scene in acrylic of a room that has a mirror on the wall. My question is how do you make it look like a mirror? What colors do you use?

I follow an artist that i have learned a lot from and he was doing a painting of a car someone asked him what color is "Chrome" and he said what color it is reflecting. most people paint chrome with shades of blue because it is normaly reflecting the sky.

now your question would be answered with a question, what color is the room that the miror is in and is it at a angle that you would see a detailed reflection of the other side of the room?

Thank you. I'm going to give it a try. I do not have Chrome as a color but will try the reflecting of the opposite wall which is a big window with people sitting at a table. thank you again

Hey Darlene,
Try to imagine what is being reflected in the mirror (big window & people).. since mirrors give off light, make the scene/reflection appear lighter than the real image (usually if it is a bright day, the day outside of the window, within the mirror image, would appear to be whiter)
hope this helps :)
