If you've painted or drawn a mandala, let's see it!  I'll start by posting mine below.

If you're wondering, "What is a mandala?" hop on over to my Art-is-fun page about mandalas, including a tutorial on how to draw one:  http://www.art-is-fun.com/how-to-draw-a-mandala.html

Chances are you've probably been doodling them for years and not realizing that they have a name. :)

If you've never made abstract art before, or don't know where to begin, mandalas are a fun and easy way to start making abstract art.

Can't wait to see what you've created!  Please be sure to tell us a bit about your mandala, such as what materials you used, what inspired it, etc.

For instructions on how to add an image to your forum post, please read: http://community.art-is-fun.com/forum/topics/how-to-add-an-image-to...

Hi, these are some of my mandala's

I loved to draw intuitive mandalas for a few years. The last mandala, my own Birthmandala, is my latest. I started drawing mandala's while doing my Reiki education. I just loved how things pop up and i am everytime surprised to see the final drawing.

These are my first tries at Mandalas following Thaneeya's lesson. Fun to make, but I struggled with detail, fully erasing pencil lines, smudging, and keeping my designs uniform all the way around. I'm not sure I have the patience for these.

First Mandala attempt

Second attempt

I just want to say that I've really enjoyed all the mandalas posted in this thread. It's inspiring to see all the different styles and media used. Thank you everyone for sharing your mandalas here!

wow! these details are so cool. you play with illusion patterns. great job!

11" (?), black pen, again I just love to draw and fill space symetrically and it inspires me to do it, though i have to remember to stop somewhere

I have painting with mandalas but it's not finished. I will post it when it's done.
