i haven't been here for a while but i am here now! i agree with you about nature and stress. in fact i feel like going outside and sketching some nature today maybe. i haven't been outside for a long long time - you wouldn't believe me if i told you. you see i have balance problems and i fall over a lot..oh it gets worse...we won't go there.
anyway, i want to sketch something REAL.

I got back into drawing after a stroke just before I turned 80, and could not do anything else but sit in a chair for some weeks - it 'released' me and allowed me to once again express myself after a break. I tried colouring squares at first but felt the need to create something more real so slowly this landscape emerged over a period of a month. Before my stroke I was studying but found I could not continue after hospital confinement, and art really helped me and gave me confidence once again,
