I've been ill for a while and now wanting to get back into painting. This one was done a while ago, but still may deserve some crits. I wanted a painting of a woman in a beautiful dress. I'm not too happy with the floral brushwork in the dress, but it was the best I could do at that time. I've been told there is some distortion in the head and you might find that easier to notice than me. This painting is large at 4x5 feet oils. I love that brrushwork in the dress of Madame Moitessier by Ingres. When I look at the actual painting eyes on it is loose, yet Ingres seems to have given so much detail. That is something to aspire to.
