Hi, all. I've come across a product that can turn a canvas into a surface suitable for watercolor painting. It's watercolor ground - a medium that is spread like gesso. Has anyone used it??

Never heard of it Linda but I'm a newbie to watercolor. I'll have to check it out.
I have used it and it works great...you can turn almost any surface into a suitable base for watercolors...I didn't believe that it would work at first, but after putting a couple of coats down and letting them dry completely..they worked just fine! I have used the watercolor ground for acrylics a time or 2 as well, and it works for that as well...

Thanks for this, Laura. Using a variety of surfaces will be fun to try.

Hi Linda
What was the name of the product?
It's called "Cold Press Ground. The label says "Golden Artist Colors" as the brand, but I don't know if that's the same Golden as the one that makes paint. They give a website of: QoRcolors.com
