This painting may be considered more surrealistic, than abstract, but I believe it still exhibits some abstract characteristics.  I am getting ready to enter this, as well as 2 other paintings (that are NOT abstract) in a local are competition.

I call it "Clank".  It is a 16" x 20" oil on canvas panel.

I enjoyed creating this one!

The lightning and shadows are most effective.  It really conveys a sense of machinery and the geometry of it all.  Liked your choice of colors, too. Someone that involves themselves in machinery and its workings, would love this! Well done work!

yes, I would definitely call it abstract although it could also be listed as realism.  But it has an abstract quality to it. It is strong because of the lighting, giving it an almost ominous feel to it.

I agree when you note the ominous feel to it ... it has a cold affect.
