Hello Gail and others here.  I'm looking for your feedback on these pencils please.  Would like to try them out.  Haven't seen them first-hand, only going by ads online.  My question then is, for those that do use them - do you find the twelve-pack is enough to work with mostly?

Hi Carole :) I've only just started using them myself, I have the 12 pack but to be honest im SO impressed with them im saving to get the 72 pencil set, all those glorious colours!!!! :D

ok thank you Patricia ... all I needed was a little push/shove on that one

You're welcome Carole ... ive noticed a lot of people love the water colours, but in the end still favour the inktense :D

I agree with Patricia great vibrant colours I only have a few as I bought individual colours sometime ago that I knew I would use but thinking of buying more !! I've used them quite recently in two of my flower paintings. I'm sure you'll love them Carole.

thanks Lyn also for your feedback on the Inktense pencils...I really look forward to trying them for myself now...

Don't laugh!!!! I use my watercolour pencils a lot and I love to work with them, but a couple of days ago I bought only one Inktense pencil, the Leaf Green, I absolute love the vibrant colour of the Inktense and also how much smoother it is when activate it with water!!!! Thinking of buying me a set of them!!!

thanks also Marthie for your comment.

brilliant! i bought the 36 and was so sorry i didn't buy the 72 so i did!!!!!!!!!

Carole, In the meantime I bought quite a few Inktense pencils, surprise, surprise, the individual ones were cheaper than a set of 12!  So I just need now the bright red ones, Poppy Red and maybe Fuchsia!  They are so intense, I just love the bright color!  The really pricey in SA.

Kind regards and enjoy life!

Hi, I'm new to the group. Sadly, I have a severe allergic reaction to Inktense pencils - upon opening the box the symptoms hit: itchy nose and throat, burning, stinging eyes, etc. The same thing happens with any quality colored pencil (eg, prismacolor, etc), whether or not they're water soluble. Also this happens with pastels :-( :-(. Airing them out doesn't help. Does anyone have this issue, or know of it? I'm not sure what component of the products triggers this reaction. (Pigments, dust, etc).

welcome Maureen - what a shame your reaction to these products - all I can think of is that you try using them with a mask on.  Not much joy but would be interesting to see what results...

Hi Maureen I've never heard of this before I'm so sorry to hear that you have a severe allergic reaction to these products.Must be so frustrating & upsetting for you. How are you with paints can you use them ?
