Very briefly, an "Art Journal" or an Illustrated Journal is just that- it is a journal dedicated to an artistic expression in any medium- with or without text. The purpose being not to create a book of artistic references, or even works of art, but a very personal and subjective collection of your responses to life, thoughts, and ideas.  It is very free-styled and non- restricted, and may be shared or kept private.

Hi Amanda.  Thank you for your prayers.  I need all I can get.  I have no family to stay with.  Both my parents have died, my dad 3 years ago, and my mother last May.  We are loosing all the older ones.  I am 64 and will be 65 in June.  I am too old to ride this horse, as I once heard a man say.  I am just glad my son is here to help me, but hope he can get to work soon.

Ohh, my husband and I have been in that position with a move. It is difficult. Even had to stay with my parents for a time- in our 40's! Not recommended, lol. Sending hope and a prayer for that situation. You obviously are a strong person and you will pass through this too.

I haven't been on in quite a while as I am trying to pack and find a place to move with no luck.  I have also had trips to the hospital and many doctors appointments.  I have had breast cancer and skin cancer and am going to have to go through testing for both again.  I see two doctors this Friday and have to make an appointment with two more.  Lots more going on around here.  Long story.  I hope things settle down soon and I can get back to all things art.  I really miss it and when I went through breast cancer it was a God send to me.  I could paint my memory boxes and just forget everything.  It helps to know you are making others feel good too. That also, I think, helped me through.  it is not for lack of interest but life that has kept me off.  I was going to clean the kitchen good this evening, (ran all day) and all I succeeded in doing was dumping dinner in the floor and making a bigger mess that just made me hurt more as I had to do a lot of bending over to clean it up.  I decided, I will just sit down and check messages instead for a while and here all of you were.  Of course, some of that (so many being on was my fault.)   :-)
