HI,

I'm looking foward to seeing everyone's idea of doodling- because of this site I learned about Zentangles and realized I have been doing my own interpretation of that art for some time .

I call mine  "Artjumbles" not to be confused with Zentangles. I create them on 3" x 5" watercolor paper - (I like to draw and paint in mini size it is a change from the large canvas I usually paint on).

My Artjumbles have no preconceived designs but just sort of come to me as I draw- I feel that it truly is a jumble if I don't create from a pattern but just let the design flow freely.

I was happy to learn that they resemble Zentangles in some ways - sometimes they may have the same pattern througout or maybe not- it depends on what comes out of my pen. In that sense I don't know if they could be described as Zentangles- but at any rate I have been busy working on these jumbles for a while and am now saving them up to use as ideas for my abstract paintings.

I will try to upload these little Artjumbles as soon as I can. But for now I just wanted to say hi to my fellow artists on Doodle Art.

Hey there,
So nice to meet you and learn about your creative process :)
Artjumbles sound intriguing and quite fun ... can't wait to see some of your examples

Hi Anton,

Nice to meet you as well.

Some of my paintings here are a result of doodling "ArtJumbles". Though I never realized Zentangles would become such a big thing. As I said I don't know if my jumbles would be considered Zentangle doodles but I love the process.

If you have not yet seen my post  -I have been honored with being Profile of the week- if you get a chance take a look at some of my work.

Have a great day :D

Hi Alexis...welcome to the group...looking forward to seeing some of your ArtJumbles here!

Thank you for the warm welcome- I will be posting the jumbles probably next week sometime (hope) -noticed problem with camera.

:D

Hello Alexis :)

Yes I had seen some of your uplifting work and have read your interview as well.
Great idea of keeping the ArtJumbles so that these are then elaborated and included in your painted work.

Looking forward to see more of your ArtJumbles sometime next week :p

Hi Anton,

Hope to get it done soon :D

I like doing Zentangles. Learned how from here but can't remember by whom.

Hi Dale,

I'm not sure if my Artjumbles are Zentangles- as my work tends to be more free form and not predesigned. But they are fun for me and as soon as I can get my camera back in working order I will try to post them.

Everyone here does wonderful tangles :D

Alexis,

I look forward to seeing them.....

Hi Everyone,

I am new to the Art Colony site and am really enjoying it.  I started doing Zentangles about a year ago and this has helped spark my interest in doing art journals.

Hi Anton, I posted a few of my Artjumbles- here. I may work on the pics. a bit too small.
