This could be a fun idea for a Sculpture Class... Get all the students to work together to create an anamorphic installation that fills a whole room, similar to the work of Bernard Pras, which you can see here: http://creativegreed.com/bernard-pras-anamorphic-painting.html
He uses items like clothing, driftwood and other objects and arranges them strategically around a room so that when you look at the installation from a specific viewpoint, all the elements come together to form a recognizable image (in the link above you'll see that all the objects form a portrait of a man). When viewed from any other angle, anamorphic images look skewed, so part of the challenge is placing everything to look just right from that one specific viewpoint.
I would love to see what a group of students could do with this idea! Imagine all the fun they could have choosing an image to create, brainstorming what objects to use, and then designing the composition. Not to mention how much fun it would be for everyone to see the finished piece. If anyone tries this, I'd love to see how it turns out!
