Gloss V Matt

Started by Dissilyl Mordentroge. Last reply by Aimeslee Winans Apr 25, 2018. 5 Replies

Using both matt and gloss cuttings in a collage can result in a disjointed effect. I’ve found spraying an entire work with a matt glaze does not elliminate the difference in surface reflection. Has anyone found a solution to this problem?READ MORE

Rosemary, it is a challenge to find images for collage, but I am always on the outlook. Sometimes I use pictures from magazines that I have cut into many small sections, like when I am in search for color or texture as a piece of something. I think wallpaper. wrapping paper, and old photos are great to use also.  Some artists use the images sold in the scrapbook sections of some stores. I would be interested to hear what others use in this forum.
