Welcome to the Digital Art Group!

This is the place to discuss digital art - share tips and techniques, learn about different computer programs and tools, and ask questions.

Click here to learn how to upload images into your forum posts (which is important so that people can see your art within the post, rather than as an attachment link beneath your post).

Before uploading your digital art, make sure your work fits this definition: "Computer-generated art that is created by hand (i.e. using a tablet, stencil etc), either from scratch or from a reference source."

Under this definition, photographs that have been slightly tweaked (photo-edited) are not accepted as "digital art" on this site - for example, running a photograph through a few Photoshop filters and displaying it as a finished work of digital art. Even though this can result in some beautiful imagery, we decided early on that we don't want photography on this site because there are many sites out there to share photos, and feel that edited/filtered photos belongs on a photography site and not here.

Click here to read more about the distinction between digital art vs digital photo editing, to help determine whether your images belong on this site or a photography site.

Jeff here -- Thanks Grace -- I have become a true believer for the PAINT program -- I love the way you can create an idea and in an instant you can change and go in another direction. As I said earlier, I also like the Kid Pix textures and colors to create somewhat abstracted images

It's very cool to see what you create in Paint, Jeff.  I believe that another of our artists, Grace Sanford, uses Paint as well. Your compositions are so complex, a visual feast for the eyes!

Hi, Jeff here -- I am definitely a beginner when it comes to computer art. I primarily use a program called PAINT. I love to use line and color. I also use a version of Kid Pix. I use the various textural and color applications to create somewhat abstract imagery.
