I do like the bold use of negative space on these two paintings , Freda, I struggle with nerves if I have 'too much;' negative space surrounding my subjects! But you have a nice balance with both of these. I could imagine their being painted LARGE and hung in a child's room or even in a trendy studio apartment!

Thank you jean, I've thought about doing larger with maybe a grey or charcoal background.
