Fantastic  work john. They're  such  beautiful creatures they killed all ours off in England  by 1680 although there were rumour  of then surviving  in the wilds or Scotland  later

Thnaks my dear friends for your great comments.  The last wolf was killed in Wales in the 1700s Paul.  I would love to see them reintroduced in selective areas.  I saw one right in front of me in my headlights on my first USA trip.  It was huge and was magnificent too.  Such a beautiful animal.  It was worth going all that way just to see that.

What a handsome fellow. Gorgeous work John. Unfortunately wild wolves don't always stay where we want them too, especially young males that leave their packs in search a mate. They are incredibly intelligent and curious animals and sadly that is what often leads them into difficulty with their neighbors. In my home state we have a respectable population in the north of the state. I live150 to 180 miles south of where they commonly roam. But still there are occasional sightings of young lone wolves in the suburbs of the twin cities.
