Beautiful work. I love trees. It feels like I could wander right in amongst them.

Thank you Virginia. I spend a lot of time hiking in the wooded areas around my home, I wanted to try to capture the soft hazy light of the deep woods. So happy to hear you feel invited in to the landscape!

this painting is so peaceful and mysterious.  It takes me right into it.

Thank you Pauline. We are entering this magical time of year once again. Can't wait to capture some more of the autumn moments. ; >

Here in Australia we are just starting Spring. I'm hoping to get out and draw some spring blossoms. We have had lots of rain this year and the drought isnt as bad as it was in some areas.  But where we are everything seems to be growing, even the spinach I planted a few months back.  I'm hoping to do some on location drawing to get away from copying photos and doing drawing exercises in books.  It is a totally different way of looking and approach I think. There are some similiar colours this time of year as in your painting Suzanne even though we are in different seasons.

It is so fun to be having conversations with people all around the world! I love that you are just entering Spring Pauline. I went crazy taking spictures of wild flowers in April. We had the opposite weather here...lots of rain. So we had lots of flowers. I did a little sketching on location and I know what you mean...it is a very different experience than copying photos or working from a book. I think it's the smells and the 3D world of many pieces beyond the subject you are capturing. It is magic to be live!

Enjoy the spring blossoms!

Hi Suzanne, I will. I hope to get into the garden today, draw and do some weeding too. I've planted some cabbages and spinnach (dont like  it too much but it is good for you lol).  I hope to draw what is there. It is going to be around 17 centigrade today.

Have fun Pauline. We are having our first hard frost tonight. I just picked the last of the tomatoes and transplanted my favorite geraniums into smaller pots and moved them into the greenhouse.  I miss the beginning stages already...the planting and planning, the spinach and lettuce. Enjoy your spring garden!
