A4 watercolour. I'd driven through it or past it thousands of times but the sun was shining and the farm had just harvested the oil seed rape so i thought I'd have a go at it

at one time  it was on one of  the main routes from london  to a very new thing the seaside holiday , then they dried out the marshland and built a new road and later the railway.

If  two cars meet at one part of the town somebodies  got to reverse  and if a lorry or coach tries to get through  this historic town it gets stuck and has to reverse  a very long way  before it can turn around Again

Thanks harry and Pamela.  I have been through it countless times and theres not much parking so apart from a couple of visits to a pub years ago ive  never lookec around
