Thanks Dorothy. This painting I did while I was learning oil color application. I had worked only pencil sketches as was frustrated not getting desired effect applying colors (any medium so to say!) At the age of 42 I found a teacher who guided me for color application. I learned from him for 6 months. Then he said , he tought me all he knew all I have to do is not PRACTICE! And after that I have worked only with oils! And I can understand what you say the about folds effect as my teacher/instructor also commented the same thing. Well, I take this as GOD's grace ! Thanks for your positive feed back.

The colours used in this one reminds me so much of the tone Michelangelo used in his Doni Tondo painting! Very sculptural.
